1, 2, 3, 4....This is our Power Chord! That's how Ablum by Duplex starts off, and it never gives up. This is pure fun, indie rock for kids. Featuring Canadian alt rocker Veda Hille and friends, Ablum shows what you get when you mix a punk sensibility with a five year old's sense of humor and a healthy disdain for leafy green vegetables.
This album is our favorite find so far in 2006. We give it a spin whenever we need to chase crankiness away. In fact, if you happen to walk into the store on a slow afternoon when we don't have any customers, you might just find us rushing to the back office to turn down the volume.
Notable tracks include Figure 8, of Schoolhouse Rocks fame; Nucat, with all the bluster of 80's punk including the "Oi Oi Oi Oi!"; and our favorite, the Salad Song.
