This just may be the best CD in our store!
Treasure Chest is a benefit CD for Pearl, the daughter of Duluth music producer Eric Swanson and his wife Patty. Pearl was diagnosed with a congential heart defect.
To help out, the best of the Duluth music scene created this wonderful CD. From North Woods Bluegrass to heartfelt Folk to just plain fun, this album sizzles with delights.
What we have here is 24 tracks from 24 different artists, all fresh and simple. It reminds me of sitting on the shore of Lake Superior in the Amazing Grace cafe at Duluth's Canal Park on a sunny afternoon, eating a big 'ol sandwich on fresh made bread while my 3 year old daughter dances around in front of a two piece folk band who can't help but play a little faster just to watch her dance. It's one of many similar memories that makes me love this CD. I hope you'll find that there's a few great reasons to love it, too.
Anyway, "Mama Knows What Baby Wants", a growling blues number by the Black Eyed Snakes, is worth the price of the CD.
