Little Miss Ann is a first generation Filipina-American and a music teacher from the renowned Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago. Her debut album, Music for Tots is soulful and folky at the same time. It's a little like Elizabeth Michell with a hint of spice. Each song has its own unique personality, even classics like You are My Sunshine and Freight Train seem to wander into a strange but magical land where the words are all different and somehow more alive. Our favorite song is Edamame--"I had an edamame and my edamame pleased me...Edamameeee..ee.eee.ee". A tour of Chicago's north side restraunts follows with Samosas, Schnitzes, Latkes and Tortellinis. Truly charming.
