Hug Trees by Californian Tom Freund is a folksy, bluesy, jazzy, and definiely fun album. The title track gives the album an environmental theme, but it doesn't hit you over the head with it like some others we could think of. (There's none of that "R-E-C-Y-C-L-E spells recycle, recycle, RECYCLE!") It's just a great, well built album that won't drive grownups nuts. Our favorite track is the cool cat rendition of the Cat Came Back. We also love the guest appearance by Victoria Williams on Track #4. Visit MySpace page to sample tracks.
