These hard to find flat cotton diapers are common and Europe and Australia, where they're know as nappies. Made of 100% birdseye weave bleached cotton and sewn to dimensions of 27x27 inches (prior to washing), these are similar to our prefold diapers except they aren't "pre-folded". Yes, these are truly old school--the orignal cloth nappy our great-grandmothers used.

The advantages of flat cotton cloth diapers are that they're easy to clean and line dry, even on humid days. Because of the quick and easy drying, these are also a popular option for international relief programs and orphanges. These diapers are durable and lint free. Wash twice before using--they'll quilt up and shrink a bit. After that, wash just like prefolds. Do not bleach.
